Tasks
Tasks is a flexible work manager built around a Trello-style Kanban board: organize your work into projects with lists (columns) you create yourself, cards with labels, checklists, covers and assignees, and switch to List, Calendar, Timeline, Table or Dashboard whenever another angle helps. This page is the overview — each topic has its own page below.
Overview
A project holds your tasks as cards, arranged in the lists (columns) of its Board — you create and order the columns to match your workflow. Each card can carry notes, a checklist, subtasks, dates, a priority, labels, an icon, a cover and — in shared projects — assignees. Completing a task always offers Undo, deleting sends it to the Trash, and everything you do syncs in real time across your devices.
Core concepts
- Project
- A workspace for a set of tasks, with its own lists, labels, phases and views. Projects can be personal, professional or shared with your team.
- Collection
- A folder that groups projects in the sidebar (the same concept used in Drawing and Bases). Create one with "New collection" and move projects into it.
- List
- A column on the Board. You create your own with "Add list"; each list maps to a status (To do, Doing or Done), so moving a card between columns changes its status.
- Card
- A single task with all its details: notes, checklist, subtasks, dates, priority, labels, cover, assignees, comments and attachments.
- Phase
- A project stage (for example Discovery, Build, Launch). With two or more phases, a tab bar filters the Board by phase and the List view can group by phase.
- Inbox
- A holding place for tasks that don't belong to a project yet. Opens as a second sidebar inside a project.
- My day
- A one-day planner panel with half-hour slots. Drag cards into a time slot to plan your day without moving them off the board.
Capture fast, anywhere
Every creation field — the quick-add at the bottom of a Board column, the inline add in the List view, the Inbox — understands natural language: type 'pay rent tomorrow 9am !1' and the date, time and priority are extracted and shown as chips before you press Enter. Press Q or N to jump to the nearest "Add task" field, and / to search.
