Account, teams, sharing, and plans
Everything about your myrna account: signing up and in, adjusting your profile and avatar, building a team and inviting people, sharing your items, managing your subscription, generating API tokens and, if you need to, deleting the account. Almost everything here lives in the account menu, under Settings.
You find these options by opening your account menu (your avatar or name) and choosing Settings. Inside Settings, the Account group gathers five areas: Profile, Billing, Team, Vault and API / MCP. The Share button, on the other hand, appears directly on items and groups within each module (notes, tasks, calendar, bases, drawings, references, and contacts).
Creating and accessing your account
Your myrna account uses an email and password. On your first visit you enter an email, set a password, and choose a display name (how you want to be seen by the app and by teammates).
- 1On the home screen, choose the option to create an account.
- 2Enter your email, set a password, and type your display name.
- 3Finish signing up. We send a confirmation email to the address you provided.
- 4Open that email and click the confirmation link to validate the account.
- 5Return to myrna and sign in with your email and password.
I forgot my password
If you do not remember your password, you can reset it without losing anything in your account.
- 1On the login screen, choose the option to recover or reset your password.
- 2Type the email registered to the account.
- 3Open the reset email we send and click the link.
- 4Set a new password and confirm it.
- 5Sign in as usual with your email and the new password.
Your profile
In Settings → Account → Profile you adjust how your account appears and keep track of some useful information.
- Display name: how you appear to yourself and to the team. Click the pencil next to the name to edit it.
- Avatar: a profile picture that identifies your account. Click the picture to upload a new one.
- Member since: the date your account was created.
- Storage usage: a bar showing how much of your plan's quota your files (images, attachments, etc.) already take up.
- Current plan: a badge showing your subscription status — Free, Trial, Active, Past due or Canceled.
The Profile page also holds three account-wide actions: change your email address, export all your data (a JSON file with the content of every module — see the Import & sync page), and delete the account.
Changing your email
You can change the email associated with your account from the Profile page. For security, the change only takes effect after a fresh confirmation at the chosen address.
Plans and billing
myrna has a Free plan, a paid plan, and a trial period so you can try out the paid plan's features before subscribing. The paid plan can be billed monthly or annually, and each plan comes with its own storage quota.
- Free plan
- Good to get started. Includes the core modules with lower storage and usage limits, without the sharing features.
- Paid plan
- Unlocks more storage, higher limits, and sharing (group and item) with your team and other people. Billed monthly or annually.
- Trial period
- A window in which you use the paid plan's features for free, to assess whether it is worth subscribing.
Your subscription is managed through a secure billing portal. There you update your payment method, view and download invoices, and cancel whenever you want. You also control automatic renewal.
- 1Open Settings → Account → Billing.
- 2To subscribe or change plans, choose the plan you want and the billing period (monthly or annual).
- 3To adjust payment, invoices, or cancel, open the secure billing portal.
- 4In the portal, update your payment method, download invoices, or cancel your subscription.
- 5Turn automatic renewal on or off according to your preference.
Teams
Every myrna account comes with its own team. You are the owner of it and can work alone or invite other people to collaborate. The number of seats (how many people fit in the team) depends on your plan.
Team roles
- Owner
- The person who created the team. Has full control: manages the plan and billing, invites and removes people, sets roles, and administers all content.
- Admin
- Helps manage the team: can invite and remove members and administer shared content, without touching the account's billing.
- Member
- Takes part in the team and accesses content that was shared with it, according to the permissions of each item or group.
Inviting someone to the team
- 1Open Settings → Account → Team.
- 2Choose the option to invite and type the person's email.
- 3Set their role (admin or member).
- 4Send the invitation. The person receives an email with the link to accept.
- 5Once they accept, they start appearing in the team's member list.
On the same Team screen you keep track of who is already part of it and which invitations are still pending (sent, but not yet accepted).
Removing members and canceling invitations
- 1Open Settings → Account → Team.
- 2To remove someone, find the person in the member list and choose remove.
- 3To undo an invitation that has not been accepted yet, find it among the pending invitations and cancel it.
- 4Confirm the action.
Sharing
Sharing lets other people view or edit what is yours. There are two types, which work side by side: group sharing and item sharing.
Group sharing
This is when you share an entire set with your team, instead of item by item. You can share the following with the team:
- An entire notebook.
- An entire task project.
- An entire calendar.
- An entire base.
- An entire drawings category.
- An entire references collection.
- An entire contacts category.
That way, everything inside that group becomes accessible to the team at once, and any new items you add to the group also become visible to them.
Item sharing
This is when you share a single item with specific people, for example a note, a drawing board, a table, or an appointment. For each person you choose the access level:
- Read-only
- The person can open and view the item, but cannot change it.
- Edit
- The person can view and also edit the item.
Sharing an item
- 1Open (or select) the item or group you want to share within the module.
- 2Click the Share button.
- 3For an item, enter the person and choose read-only or edit; for a group, choose to share with the team.
- 4Confirm. The person now sees the item according to the permission you set.
Reviewing and revoking shares
At any time you can see who each item or group is shared with and revoke that access.
- 1Open the Share button of the item or group again.
- 2See the list of people (or the team) with access.
- 3Adjust someone's permission or choose to remove access.
- 4When you revoke it, the person stops seeing that content immediately.
API tokens (MCP)
In Settings → Account → API / MCP you generate personal access tokens that let external tools — such as AI assistants speaking the MCP protocol — read (and, if you allow it, write) your notes on your behalf. The dedicated MCP page of this help center explains how to connect.
- 1Open Settings → Account → API / MCP.
- 2Give the token a name and, if you want, mark it as read-only.
- 3Generate the token and copy it right away — for security it is shown only once.
- 4Paste the token into the tool you are connecting.
- 5To cut off a tool's access, delete its token from the same list at any time.
Deleting your account
If you want to leave for good, you can delete your account from the Profile page. This action is permanent and erases all your data and files in myrna, with no way to undo it.
- 1Open Settings → Account → Profile.
- 2Locate the Delete account option.
- 3Read the warning and confirm that you understand the deletion is final.
- 4Complete the confirmation to close the account.
