Draw

Draw is a full whiteboard on an infinite canvas, with a hand-drawn look: shapes, connectors, ink, rich text, sticky notes, tables and images. Boards grow into diagrams, mind maps and even slide presentations — with live collaboration, comments, version history and a public link. This page is the overview; each topic has its own page below.

Overview

A board is an endless dotted canvas you fill with objects: shapes from a large library, curved connectors that stay attached, freehand ink with real pen feel, two kinds of text, sticky notes, native tables and images. A grouped toolbar keeps it all one click away, and the style panel controls stroke, fill (solid, gradient, texture or image), shadow and opacity.

The same board can become a presentation: wrap regions in frames and they turn into slides, with transitions, step-by-step builds, presenter notes and a dual-screen presenter view. You can also generate diagrams with AI, import Mermaid text diagrams, and export to PowerPoint, PDF, PNG, SVG or JSON.

Everything is saved automatically as you draw — there is no save button. Snapshots also go to the version history, so you can restore an earlier state of the board.

Core concepts

Board
The infinite canvas that holds one drawing. Boards live in the module's home, organized into collections.
Collection
A folder-like group of boards. Move, rename and delete collections from the boards list.
Object
A single element — shape, connector, ink stroke, text, sticky note, table or image — with its own style. The Objects panel lists them all.
Frame (slide)
A region of the board that becomes a slide. Frames power the presentation, the PowerPoint/PDF exports and the slideshow embed in notes.
Stencil
A ready-made composite (SWOT, BPMN, wireframe, UML…) from the Shapes panel — or one you saved from your own selection.

Working together

  • Open the same board as someone else and you see each other's cursors live, with names and colors.
  • Send quick emoji reactions, chat from your cursor (press /), or click a participant's avatar to follow their view.
  • Pin comments on the canvas, drag them around, and resolve them without deleting.
  • Version history keeps automatic snapshots (about every 10 minutes of editing) that you can restore at any time.

The hand-drawn look is on purpose: it keeps boards feeling like a quick whiteboard rather than a polished, final diagram. Turn Roughness down to zero on any object when you want clean lines.

It is grouped: Select and Hand sit first, then five groups — Shapes, Connectors, Text, Draw and Images — each opening a flyout with its variants and quick colors, followed by Table, Eraser, the Laser pointer and a Frame button.
