Tasks in the calendar
Tasks from the Tasks module that have a due date show up in the calendar next to your appointments, so you see what is scheduled and what is due in the same place. Project deadlines and contact birthdays appear here too. This page explains where each of these shows up in each view, what you can do with them from the calendar, and how the "My day" panel in Tasks complements the picture.
Tasks with a due date
Only tasks that have a due date appear in the calendar, and only while they are still open — once you complete a task it leaves the calendar (reopen it in the Tasks module to bring it back). The task shows on the day it is due. Its colored dot reflects the task's priority, and in the Day panel a small tag shows the project it belongs to.
Each view surfaces due tasks a little differently:
- Day
- A collapsible "Tasks due" panel lists the tasks due on the selected day, above the timeline. When collapsed, it shows a count of the day's tasks.
- Week
- A strip under each day's header shows that day's tasks, so you scan the whole week at a glance.
- Month
- Days that have tasks show a line with the first task's title and a "+N" count for the rest, below the day's appointments.
What you can do
From the calendar you mostly view and complete tasks. Full editing — changing the due date, priority, description, and everything else — happens in the Tasks module.
- Complete a task — in the Day panel, click the checkbox to mark it done.
- Add a task for the day — in the Day panel, type a title in the "Add a task for this day…" row and press Enter; the new task is created with that day as its due date.
- Open in Tasks — click a task's title (in any view) to jump straight to that task in the Tasks module and work on it there.
Project deadlines
When a project in the Tasks module has a target date, the calendar flags it on that day: a red "Project deadline" banner in the Day view's subheader, a red row under the Week headers, and a red entry in the Month cell. If the project's schedule is at risk, the flag pulses and the tooltip adds "Overdue" or "Behind schedule". Clicking a deadline takes you to the Tasks module.
Contact birthdays
Contacts that have a birthday saved in the Contacts module appear on the calendar every year on that day, as a chip with a cake icon — in the Day view's subheader and in the Month cells. Click the chip to open that person in Contacts.
Plan your time in "My day"
The calendar shows when tasks are due. To plan when you will actually work on them, use the "My day" panel inside the Tasks module: a one-day column with a 30-minute grid and a "No time" row, where you drag task cards onto a slot to give them a day and an hour — without removing them from the board. That planned time is separate from the due date, so scheduling a task in "My day" does not change what the calendar shows.
