Photos and cover
Each journal entry can carry the photos of your day. They open in a full-screen carousel, one of them can be marked as the day's thumbnail, the main photo automatically becomes the entry's cover, and the diary's "Media" view gathers every photo by month. Everything saves automatically.
Photo gallery
The photos of the day appear as small thumbnails right below the location and weather. Add as many as you like — each is uploaded on its own.
- 1Open the day's entry.
- 2Click the dashed "Photo" tile at the end of the thumbnails.
- 3Choose one image from your device (one file at a time).
- 4Wait for the upload to finish; the photo then appears in the gallery.
- 5Repeat to add more photos to the same day.
To remove a photo, hover over its thumbnail and click the x in the corner ("Remove photo"). It is removed from that day only.
The day's carousel
Clicking any thumbnail opens the "Photos of the day" carousel: the photo fills the screen over a darkened background, with a counter and arrows to move between the day's photos.
Thumbnail of the day
One photo can represent the whole day. In the carousel, click "Use as the day's thumbnail" — the chosen photo gets a star badge on its thumbnail and stands in for the day across the module:
- On the day cards of the "Timeline" and in "Memories".
- As the background of the day's cell in the "Calendar" view.
- As the round pin of the day in the "Map" view.
- As the entry's automatic cover (below). Without a starred photo, the first photo plays this role.
Cover and icon of the entry
When the day has photos, its main photo automatically becomes a wide cover at the top of the entry — the image centered over a blurred copy of itself. Clicking the cover opens the carousel.
You can also set a manual cover, exactly like in Notes: use "Add cover" at the top of the entry to pick a color gradient, search a photo or paste an image link, then "Change cover", "Reposition" (drag an image cover to frame it) or "Remove cover". A manual cover takes precedence over the photo cover. The same area also offers "Add icon" to attach an emoji or symbol next to the title.
The Media view
The "Media" view in the sidebar collects every photo of the open diary, grouped by month from the most recent to the oldest, each thumbnail marked with its day number. Click a photo to jump straight to the day it belongs to.
